Abstract:

A revision of the genus Hildebrandtia from mainland Africa and Arabia is presented and a total of 8 species recognized. One species H. diredawaensis Sebsebe, one subspecies H. africana Vatke subsp. arabica Sebsebe, and one variety H. obcordata S. Moore var. puberula Sebsebe are described as new and Sabaudiella aloysii Chiov. is transferred to Hildebrandtia aloysii (Chiov.) Sebsebe.
