Biogeography, Ecology and Natural History
Distribution:
Ethiopia; widespread throughout tropical Africa from Ethiopiawestwards to West Africa, and southwards to South Africa extending to Madagascar.
Ecology:
Grassland, often by streams and near swamps; 1000 - 2200 m.
