Description

Habit: 
Prostrate herb to 1 meter long, stems cylindrical, longitudinally striate, hirsute with yellowish stellate trichomes, to 2 mm in diameter.
Leaves: 
Petioles stout, smooth, with a ventral sulcus, stellate pubescent, 3-17 mm long. Leaves elliptic-ovate, basally obtuse to truncate, margins simple to undulate or incised, apically obtuse to rounded, mucronate, nerves impressed above and prominent below, densely stellate pubescent on both surfaces, 25-75 mm long and 15-20 mm wide.
Inflorescences: 
Inflorescence a dichasium or flowers solitary; peduncles slender, stellate pubescent, 15-68 mm long; bracts two, subequal or unequal, foliaceous, linear, lanceolate, rhombic to hastate in shape, densely stellate pubescent, the smaller 4-14 mm long and 0.5-4 mm wide, the larger 5-30 mm long and 0.5-13 mm wide; pedicels short, clavate, smooth, densely stellate pubescent, 9-21 mm long;
Flowers: 
sepals equal, lanceolate, apices long acuminate, the outer two covered entirely in stellate pubescence, the inner three with pubescence only on the basal portion, 11-18 mm long and 3-5 mm wide; corolla campanulate-funnelform, subglabrous, the pubescence confined to the lower outer portion of the corolla tube, white, 27-42 mm long and 18-45 mm wide; stamens included within the corolla tube, longer than the stigma and style, filaments not seen, anthers spirally dehiscent; pollen three colpate, smooth; ovary not seen, style filiform glabrous, longer than the androecium, stigma biglobose.

Pollen three colpate, smooth.
Fruits: 
Fruit and seeds not seen, reported to be a subglobose capsule surrounded by the enlarged calyx.
