Description

Habit: 
Like var. micrantha, but the stellate hairs with 3-4, occasionally with 5 rays; rays longer than in var. micrantha; hairs often differing in size, often larger ones mixed with smaller. The indumentum on the lower surface of the leaves is often much denser than on the upper surface; sometimes the upper surface is nearly glabrous.
