Abstract:

Three new Ipomoea are described from the western and central regions of Madagascar: I. herpeana, I perrieri, and I. pseudomarginata. Their East-African affinities are emphasized. The species I. perrieri, defined on a single--fortunately complete--sample from the high valley of Mania shows a syndrome of common characters with the genus Stictocardia.
