Abstract:

The Australasian species of Bonamia (Convolvulaceae), a genus which is widely distributed throughout the tropics and temperate regions have been revised. The genus has been divided into three sections: (1) Bonamia (widely distributed), (2) Breweria (Australia and Africa) and (3) Trichantha (America). The species of the genus found in Asia, Australia are sect. Bonamia--(1) B. semidigyna, (2) B. elegans, and (3) B. dietrichiana and sect. Breweria--(1) B. linearis, (2) B. oblongata, (3) B. brevifolia, (4) B. media, (5) B. rosea and (6) B. pannosa. B. oblongifolia and B. brevifolia are reported here as new species.
