Description
Habit:
Shrubs, scandent. Axial parts ± densely yellowish strigose, glabrate in age. Branches nearly terete, in age striate and densely verruculose.
Leaves:
Petiole 2.5–3 cm; leaf blade elliptic to elliptic-ovate, 8–11 × 4–5 cm, leathery, abaxial surface densely yellowish sericeous-velutinous, adaxial surface densely strigose, base rounded, apex acute; lateral veins 8–12 pairs.
Inflorescences:
Inflorescences unknown. Infructescences axillary, dichotomous cymes, 2–4-fruited; peduncle 2.5–3.5 cm, ± 4-angled. Pedicel to 5 mm in fruit.
Flowers:
Sepals elliptic-oblong to narrowly elliptic, strongly concave, nearly equal, ± parchment-like, 9–11 × 5–7 mm, sericeous-velutinous abaxially, glabrous adaxially, apex obtuse.
Fruits:
Berry depressed globose, ca. 5 × 7 mm.
Seeds:
Seeds 2, brownish, semiglobose, apex rounded; hilum nearly circular.
