Description
Habit:
Woody climber.
Leaves:
Leaves on stem ovate, 13.8–20.5 by 8.5–14 cm, blades near inflorescences elliptic or elliptic-oblong, 4–13 by 2–8 cm, base rounded or obtuse, rarely subcordate, apex obtuse, subacute, to shortly acuminate, mucronulate, upper side sparsely strigillose to appressed pilose, underside densely so; lateral veins 9–11 per side; petiole 1.5–9 cm.
Inflorescences:
Inflorescence dense, cymose; peduncle 2.5–11 cm; bracts linear-lanceolate, acute, caducous; pedicels 2–3 mm.
Flowers:
Flower sepals unequal, 2 outer linear-lanceolate, 10–12 mm, acute, hirsute outside, 3 inner lanceolate, 5.5–10 mm, hirsute medially, margins glabrous; corolla campanulate, 2–3 cm long, limb subentire, white, tube inside reddish, outside midpetaline bands golden hirsute, otherwise glabrous; stamens included, 22–24 mm, filament bases glabrous; pistil included, 22–25 mm, ovary glabrous, 2-celled.
