Abstract:

The monotypic, endemic, Australian Duperreya Gaud. is discussed as a synonym of Porana Burm. f. A new species, Porana commixta, long confused with Porana sericea (Gaud.) F. Muell., is described and figured. The ranges and ecological preferences of the two species are described. The occurrence of Porana paniculata Roxb., which is cultivated as an ornamental, in Australia is documented.
