| Abstract: | The author publishes as new the following species and varieties: Ipomoea alto-paranaensis, I. Asplundii, I. estrellensis, I. malpighiphila var. Aemilii, I. Piresii and I. santacruzensis. He modifies the rank of the following: I. ramosissima (Poir.) Choisy f. rosea (Hallier) O'Donell (= I. ramosissima var. rosea Hallier), and I. subtomentosa (Chodat et Hassler) O'Donell (= I. serpens Meissner var. subtomentosa Chodat et Hassler). He makes the new combinations: Jacquemontia Velloziana (Martius) O'Donell (= Ipomoea Vellosiana Martius), and Ipomoea grandifolia (Dammer) O'Donell (= Jacquemontia grandifolia Dammer). He discusses the value of I. batatoides Choisy, I. cynanchifoliaMeissner and I. Regnelii Meissner. |
