Abstract:

The Ruby-Throat Hummingbird is known to feed from at least 31 plant species in 21 genera among 18 families. A review of prior records supplemented by personal observations seems to indicate that co-evolution may have occurred with some plants and birds. A correlation also exists between flowering times and migration.
